Duram South Carolina opened a new experimental school that will provide opportunities for some of the area’s poorest neighborhoods. The 10 million dollar complex will support 74 children in a program of rigorous academic instruction with the hopes of college preparation for kids who might otherwise not seek such possibilities.
The new school boasts a teacher to student ratio of 12 to 1 and provides such special classes as health and wellness, entrepreneurialism, financial literacy and character education.
