2010 was a big loss for USPS

The United States Postal Service (USPS) reported a giant loss in 2010–$8.5 billion to be exact.  This loss was $4.7 billion more than 2009. The operating revenue from USPS declined by $1 billion in 2010 (to $67.1 billion), and total mail volume was down 3.5 percent.
